We caught up with Bryan, Owner of Premier Golf (Meridian, Idaho), a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
What inspired you to start Premier Golf?
I wanted to have access to state-of-the-art golf analytics equipment and improve my golf game.
Once the thought of having a Trackman golf simulator was ingrained in my mind, I started measuring my garage before determining having one at my home just wasn’t going to work.
Determined to do something, I began looking for a place to rent to fulfill my dream of having a simulator.
After several searches and visits to different storefronts, I found the perfect spot in a popular area of Meridian, Idaho and my dream began to take off.
I spent many weeks planning, building, and retooling before the project was completed and the idea of having a simulator became a reality.
During this process, I knew there were many golf enthusiasts that share the same passion and hope to own or access professional equipment and I thought why not share this with others, that’s when the business of Premier Golf was launched.
What makes your golf simulators or your location unique?
Premier Golf was the first 24-hour, 7-day-a-week golf simulator in the Treasure Valley of Idaho. It offered a private, well-designed atmosphere.
Although other golf simulator businesses have opened since Premier Golf was established in July 2022, Premier Golf is the only golf simulator that offers a private environment for its members.
When you book a session at Premier Golf, you are the only guest or group at the facility.
No distractions, talking in your backswing, or fear of hitting in front of strangers.
What has been one of the most memorable customer success stories?
That’s a difficult one to answer as so many people have used Premier Golf.
I would say my personal experience of being semi new to golf and never having played prior to 2015. Learning the fundamentals and techniques for shaping shots and improving my distance and accuracy.
Many members have expressed how Premier Golf has helped them improve their overall game. For others, it’s been a way to enjoy golfing virtual courses that they may never have the chance to in real life.
And lastly, I see many parents wanting to invest in their kids at a young age. All those examples give me great joy and pleasure in being part of their experience.
What advice would you give to golfers looking to improve their game?
Make time to practice.
We all want to play amazing courses, but the key to having fun on a course is the preparation that goes into it before you play.
Find a place where you can consistently and frequently practice.
Do you have any exciting plans for the future of Premier Golf?
We love to hear feedback from our customers and to support their wants. We recently added an actuated putting green to our facility.
It adds another dimension that simulators oftentimes struggle with and helps with their short game. We want to continue to improve what we do and the service we provide to our customers.
